Who Are The 12 Finalists In MAGGI® Reality Show 

Anne Idris and Nana Mahazan, the host guided one of the mentees on a culinary challenge

With the second season of Resipi Berani MAGGI® reality show, we will see 12 ladies competing for the top prize.

For the grand prize, one participant will receive a capital amount of RM 8,000 and also 8 weeks of intensive mentorship programme with entrepreneur icon, Anne Idris.

The mentorship programme will focus on upscaling the food business, managing cost efficiencies and branding strategies.

The Second and Third place winners will each receive seed capital of RM5,000.

Resipi Berani MAGGI® is a culmination of the Program Mentor Wanita Cukup Berani MAGGI®, which aims to inspire more women to step out of their comfort zones, embracing the ‘Tak Kenal, Tak Cinta’ (‘Never Try, Never Know’) spirit.

Resipi Berani MAGGI® reality show returns with its three prominent MAGGI® Mentors:
– Datin Paduka Eina Azman, Food Enthusiast and Brand Ambassador of MAGGI® CukupRasa.
– Sheila Rusly, Director, Producer, Actress and Owner of The Dim Sum Place.
– Anne Idris, Entrepreneur Icon and Owner of My Mum’s Bakery.

All 3 mentors will nurture the 12 mentees throughout the reality series in various Feedback Mentorship Sessions.

Apart from that, this season will be featuring 4 guest judges such as Stacy Anam, Betty Rahmad, Aisya J, and Chef Sherson Lian.

1) Anastasia Maigi – Owner of Pandan & Telang Bakery

Sabah-born Anastasia Maigi is a home baker and a mother of 2. Anastasia found herself at a crossroads after giving birth to her first child and eventually decided to be a full-time housewife to care for her family.

To supplement her family income, she ventured into baking and selling varieties of ‘kek bajet’ such as cheese leleh and cookies.

As a digital native, Anastasia knew from the start that having a good social media presence would be crucial in building her home business.

Through her participation in the Program Mentor Wanita Cukup Berani MAGGI®, she has gained new marketing and business skills to expand her reach from Papar to Penampang, Putatan and Kota Kinabalu.

2) Kalarani A/P Subramaniam – Owner of D’Snowy Delights

Kalarani is from Putrajaya and the owner of D’Snowy Delights, offering surprise delivery services including cakes such as sponge cake, Melaka gula melaka cake, butter cake, cookies, and homemade chocolates and flower bouquets.

Kalarani confessed that, at her lowest point in life following the breakdown of her marriage, she finds baking therapeutic and it helps brighten up her life.

Juggling between a full-time job as an administrator and other side hustles has been a challenge for Kalarani.

Recognising the need to build her confidence level and step out of her comfort zone, Kalarani decided to participate in the Program Mentor Wanita Cukup Berani MAGGI® to build her courage toward making positive changes in her business and life.

3) Kentila A/P Veerayah – Home Baker

Kentila, is a mother of 6 children from Klang, Selangor. Previously, Kentila was involved in a multi-level marketing (MLM) business, until the company had to close down and left her with huge debts.

Determined to make ends meet while paying off her debts, she started selling moist cakes and vanilla chocolate within her neighbourhood.

she decided to participate in the Program Mentor Wanita Cukup Berani MAGGI® to upskill herself with digital skills and gain new business knowledge. 

4) Mellony Anak Stephen – Owner of Bukit Bulan Agroshop

Having previously worked as a librarian in Kuala Lumpur, Mellony returned to her hometown, Sarawak, in 2018 to care for her ailing parents.

Having difficulty securing full-time employment, she decided to harness her interest in honey and set up her business selling Stingless Bee Honey (madu kelulut) products, agricultural produce, buns and cakes.

She was awarded as the Top Entrepreneur at Project MyReskill IoT by Malaysian Productivity Corporation Sarawak within a year of setting up her business.

Mellony participated in the Program Mentor Wanita Cukup Berani MAGGI® to equip herself with digital skills and seek new ways to upscale her business. 

5) Nazrina Binti Zamani – Owner of Dapur Lesung Pipit

Nazrina Zamani, a mother of 2 children, said her fear of failure has deterred her from achieving her goals and dreams.

When her husband was laid-off due to the COVID-19 pandemic last year, she decided to sell ‘bubur lambuk’ during the Ramadhan month to generate income for the family.

Besides that, she also takes orders for kuih, rendang and yellow glutinous rice – which received an overwhelming response. 

Determined to sustain the momentum of her business, Nazrina participated in the Program Mentor Wanita Cukup Berani MAGGI® to gain new entrepreneurial skills and conquer her fear of failure.

6) Noraslinda Binti Rusli – Owner of Super Sandwich

A mum of 4, Noraslinda is currently working as a clerk in a government agency.

Noraslinda loves making sandwiches and does a small-scale catering business over the weekends.

With encouragement from her family and friends, she started to take on more orders, managing her time between work, family commitments and business.

Noraslinda recently began to promote her food business via social media after attending the online workshop in the Program Mentor Wanita Cukup Berani MAGGI®.

7) Norli Mohd Azmi – Owner of Ruma Sembang

Norli Mohd Azmi is a mum to 4 children. Prior to 2009, Norli was an IT Engineer for 6 years before she decided to quit her job to take care of her growing family. 

She dabbled into her home-based food business. While growing up, Norli had immense love and passion for cooking and baking.

Besides cakes and pastries, Norli also sells Mee Kari and Mee Bandung as her main source of income.

Norli participated in the Program Mentor Wanita Cukup Berani MAGGI® with the intention to acquire new business knowledge, as well as to learn how to better manage her cash flow and review her product costings.

8) Nur Syahidah Amullah Binti Abdul Rahim – Owner of NSA Cookies

Nur Syahidah Aimullah, from Kulim, Kedah, is passionate and driven in succeeding in her business.

Growing up in a family that runs a catering business, she always longed to kick-start her own business.

Currently, Nur Syahidah is a full-time home-based entrepreneur selling chocolate chip cookies and ant’s nest cookies (biskut sarang semut).

Nur Syahidah has always been abashed by her Blepharophimosis syndrome (monolid), leading to low self-esteem.

With hopes to improve her self-confidence and gain new skills to expand her business, she signed up for the Program Mentor Wanita Cukup Berani MAGGI®.

9) Nurul ‘Syaza Shahirah Binti A.Shamsuddin – Owner of Lepatisseriess

Nurul ‘Syaza Shahirah, hails from Melaka, is a mother to a 2-year-old boy, and is currently pregnant with her second child.

In early 2020, Syaza started selling birthday and wedding cakes after resigning from her full-time job. She learned baking through watching YouTube as well as attending online classes.

Acknowledging that social media and digital presence are vital for the growth of her bakery business, Syaza attended the Program Mentor Wanita Cukup Berani MAGGI® online workshops to polish up her digital marketing skills and learn how to leverage social platforms to further expand her customer outreach.

10) Nurul Hajar Binti ismail – Owner of Kedai Kueh Mak Ngah

Nurul Hajar is the epitome of courage and represents the traits of a ‘wanita cukup berani’.  She was part of the Rejimen Askar Wataniah.

After marriage, her strong will to be financially independent has led her to start her home-based food business selling kuih, Laksa Johor and varieties of local delicacies which she delivers herself throughout Ayer Itam and also to neighbouring towns in Johor.

Mentor Anne Idris’ success story has inspired and motivated Nurul Hajar to join the Program Mentor Wanita Cukup Berani MAGGI®

11) Rozana Sari Binti Roslan – Home Baker

Rozana is a cancer survivor, wife and mother to 2 boys. Having donned multiple hats as a teacher, lecturer and chef at a hotel, she was laid off from work following her surgery in June 2021.

Since then, she has been making Malay kuih, cakes and pastries as her main source of income ever since.

Rozana initially ventured into this part-time business to support her family and settle debts after falling victim to a scam, but it turned into a full-time business.

With plans to expand her business and penetrate the frozen food segment, she participated in the Program Mentor Wanita Cukup Berani MAGGI® to sharpen her entrepreneurial skills and learn ways to effectively manage her product costings and profitability.  

12) Suzaimi Zahari – Owner of Mek’s Chicken Rice

She runs a chicken rice shop, Mek’s Chicken Rice, a business which she inherited from her mother.

Focused on providing affordable delectable meals, Suzaimi charges only RM1 for fresh orange juice, which she has not revised since 2012, even with the rising cost of raw materials and RM7 for a promotional set of chicken rice and drink.

Her business was eventually recognised by the Kementerian Perdagangan Dalam Negeri dan Hal Ehwal Pengguna (KPDNHEP) as Fair Price Shop (Kedai Harga Patut) in 2021.

With the aspiration of expanding her business and opening more branches of Mek’s Chicken Rice, she embarked on the Program Mentor Wanita Cukup Berani MAGGI® programme to sharpen her entrepreneurial skills and take one step closer to achieving her dream!

Resipi Berani MAGGI® Season 2 reality show is aired at 4.30 pm on TV3 every Friday for 6 weeks beginning 8 July, with a repeat at 11.30 am on Saturday.

Viewers can also stream the episodes through MAGGI®’s YouTube channel at 5.00 pm every Friday, from 8 July onwards.
