ITAP 2024 to Showcase AI Innovations And Unveil Strategic Whitepaper for Future-Ready Manufacturing

The spotlight will be on artificial intelligence (AI) and sustainability at this year’s Industrial Transformation ASIA-PACIFIC (ITAP) event, set to take place at the Singapore EXPO from October 14-16, 2024.

As the region’s leading advanced manufacturing event, ITAP 2024 aims to show how AI can be harnessed to drive sustainable manufacturing practices, helping industries grow while also meeting global climate goals.

Driving AI Adoption in Manufacturing Across Asia-Pacific

The Asia-Pacific region is at the forefront of smart manufacturing, with the sector expected to grow by an impressive 15.7% annually until 2030.

Countries like Singapore, Indonesia, Vietnam, and Malaysia are leading the way by rolling out national AI strategies designed to integrate AI deeply into manufacturing.

For instance, Singapore plans to triple its AI workforce by 2029, while Malaysia aims to transform 3,000 factories into smart facilities by 2030.

Building on the successes of previous editions, ITAP 2024 will focus on helping companies navigate the complex landscape of AI integration. The event will delve into three key trends:

1. Digitalising Operations Securely: This involves integrating systems, data, and people to streamline processes, boost productivity, and cut costs.
2. Sustainable Manufacturing Practices: Here, the emphasis is on balancing economic growth with environmental responsibility.
3. Building Resilient Supply Chains: Leveraging technology to create adaptable, transparent, and robust supply chains.

AI Discovery Journey and Whitepaper Launch

A major highlight of ITAP 2024 will be the AI Discovery Journey, designed to showcase how AI is revolutionizing manufacturing across the region.

In addition, a new whitepaper titled “Regenerative Manufacturing – Unlocking ASEAN’s Growth through Design and AI” will be unveiled.

Developed in partnership with global management consultancy firm Kearney, the whitepaper will offer practical strategies for companies to stay profitable, resilient, and sustainable.

Immersive Experiences and Networking Opportunities

ITAP 2024 promises to be a content-rich event, offering attendees a range of experiences, including the Industrial Transformation Forum, the InnoX Stage, and the Industrial Innovation Stage.

The event will also feature four immersive Experience Zones focused on Sustainable Manufacturing, AI & Data Analytics, Industrial Robotics & Automation, and Additive Manufacturing.

Attendees can look forward to keynote sessions, panel discussions, and ample networking opportunities.

With a growing list of partners and exhibitors, ITAP 2024 is set to build on the success of last year’s event, which attracted over 16,000 visitors and 308 exhibitors.

This year, over 400 exhibitors are expected, with major players like Amazon Web Services and Redhat leading the way.

ITAP 2024 is supported by key industry and government partners, including Singapore’s Agency for Science, Technology and Research (A*STAR), the Economic Development Board (EDB), and Enterprise Singapore (ESG).
