Celebrating 35 Years Of Passion, Community And Endurance

The much-anticipated PJ Half Marathon is back for its 35th edition and will take place on August 17, 2025, at Laman MBPJ, Petaling Jaya.
This year’s event has attracted 8,000 runners, including over 250 international participants from 34 countries, solidifying its reputation as one of Malaysia’s premier half-marathon events.
Participants can look forward to five categories: 30km, 21km, 10km, 5km Fun Run and a 1km Costume Run, promising something for every level of runner.
Organised by Majlis Bandaraya Petaling Jaya (MBPJ) and Puncak Ventures SRA, in collaboration with Persatuan Olahraga PARA Selangor (POPS), the event is more than just a race; it’s a celebration of community, fitness, and resilience.

To ensure safety, more than 180 enforcement officers and medical teams, including mobile medics on motorcycles, will be stationed throughout the route.
Road closures will be in place across selected routes in Petaling Jaya from 4.00am to 11.00am. The public is advised to plan and follow traffic instructions to avoid congestion.
In support of the Visit Selangor Year 2025 campaign, the PJ Half Marathon is also collaborating with Tourism Selangor to showcase the city as a destination for active and lifestyle tourism.
The event will kick off as early as 2:30am with warm-up aerobics and staggered flag-offs beginning at 3:30am for the 30km run. The day wraps up around 10:30am with performances, lucky draws, and prize presentations.
