NESCAFÉ Recharges Malaysia’s Healthcare Frontliners

30 Hour Initiative At HPUSM Serves More Than 30,000 Cups To Healthcare Workers

NESCAFÉ brings motivation and optimism to the healthcare professionals who serve selflessly every day at Hospital Pakar Universiti Sains Malaysia in Kubang Kerian, Kelantan.

While most Malaysians are asleep, thousands of healthcare workers continue their shifts through the night, caring for patients and keeping hospitals running.

Recognising the long hours and demands faced by these frontliners, NESCAFÉ brought its “NGOPI Dulu & Kekal Bersemangat Bersama” campaign to Hospital Pakar Universiti Sains Malaysia (HPUSM) in Kubang Kerian, Kelantan.

The initiative ran continuously for 30 hours, from 6am on August 10 until 12pm on August 11, giving healthcare workers a chance to recharge with a cup of coffee during their shifts.

Coffee stations were placed across key staff areas within the hospital, serving more than 30,000 cups of NESCAFÉ Classic, NESCAFÉ 3 in 1 and Ready To Drink beverages.

For NESCAFÉ, the initiative was not simply about serving coffee. It was also a way to recognise the people who continue working behind the scenes, particularly during the long and demanding hours when a short break can make a difference.

“At NESCAFÉ, we believe that small moments can make a meaningful difference. Through this initiative, we wanted to be the everyday partner that inspires the healthcare professionals who serve selflessly every day to keep moving forward,” said Khoo Sui Ying, Consumer Marketing Manager, Coffee, Nestlé Malaysia.

She added that the initiative is part of NESCAFÉ’s ongoing efforts to reach more Malaysians and recognise those who play an important role in supporting communities across the country.

“This is just one step in our ongoing journey to recharge and uplift Malaysians, and we look forward to reaching out to even more heroes this year. Because every cup that we share is a promise to fuel the frontliners that support our nation,” she said.

HPUSM, a specialist and teaching hospital serving the East Coast, was selected as one of the locations for the campaign, allowing NESCAFÉ to connect directly with doctors, nurses and other hospital personnel.

The 30-hour activation also reflects a simple reality faced by many healthcare workers. Their working day does not necessarily end when everyone else heads home.

Sometimes, a few minutes away from a busy shift and a cup of coffee can provide a much-needed moment to reset before getting back to work.

Through the wider “NGOPI Dulu & Kekal Bersemangat Bersama” campaign, NESCAFÉ plans to continue reaching out to Malaysians across the country, with more initiatives aimed at recognising and recharging the people who keep communities moving.

One cup may be a small gesture, but for someone working through a long shift, it can also be a welcome reminder that their efforts are seen and appreciated.
