FedEx Malaysia has received double recognition at the Sustainability & CSR Malaysia Awards 2025, affirming its dedication to community development and environmental responsibility.

The company took home Company of the Year in two categories: Heart of Service and Long-Standing Excellence, celebrating its sustained efforts to create meaningful change while advancing a greener logistics industry.

This marks the fifth time FedEx Malaysia has been honoured at these awards since 2020, with the Heart of Service award being a first.

“We’re honoured to receive this recognition, and especially proud to be acknowledged for Heart of Service,” said Woon Tien Long, Managing Director of FedEx Malaysia.

“It reflects how our team shows up for the community, from mentoring youth and building urban farms to innovating for low-emissions delivery. Our volunteers are the heart of these efforts, and their passion makes a real difference.”

Driving Change Through Community Initiatives
Recent FedEx Malaysia projects include:

  • FedEx/Junior Achievement International Trade Challenge (ITC) – equipping over 9,900 Malaysian students since 2008 with global business and entrepreneurial skills. This year, 700 students created sustainable fashion solutions to reduce product return waste in China.

  • Urban Farming with TrEES – supporting a Klang Valley vegetable garden producing 700 meals monthly for underserved communities.

  • FedEx Cares Purple Tote Campaign – collecting over 107kg of food, toiletries, and school supplies for the Shelter Home for Children.

These efforts form part of FedEx Cares, the company’s global community engagement programme, combining in-kind shipping, volunteerism, and charitable giving to connect people and possibilities.

Sustainability on the Move

On the environmental front, FedEx Malaysia piloted the country’s first cross-border electric vehicle (EV) delivery from Kuala Lumpur to Singapore in 2024.

The 406km trip avoided an estimated 100kg of CO₂ emissions, earning recognition in the Malaysia Book of Records for “First Zero Emission Cross-Border Delivery.”

This initiative reflects FedEx’s global target of carbon-neutral operations by 2040.

The Sustainability & CSR Malaysia Awards honour corporations that deliver lasting social and environmental impact, assessing initiatives on purpose, results, frequency, transparency, creativity, and sincerity.

Through its combined focus on people, planet, and purpose, FedEx Malaysia continues to show how business success and social good can go hand in hand.
