Another Resolution to Drive You for the New Year
Another Resolution to Drive you for the New Year
It’s the time of the year, again.
The first thought on most people’s mind will be their new year’s resolutions. Many of us will be planning our resolutions, however, how many of these resolutions can we actually fulfil?
Preparing a list of resolutions is easy; keeping them is what sets you apart. Maintaining your resolutions does not have to be daunting. Regardless you are planning to lose weight, start a new hobby, finish reading that book of yours, pursue a new interest or job; there is a way to complete your these resolutions.
Moreover, you would not want to be stressed out during the new year, right?
Small, Baby Steps
Prepare a small, easy and realistic plan which you may execute at your own pace to achieve your goals. Yes, you had heard this many times, but it’s one of the best winning formulas!
Never underestimate your small, baby steps. Once you have made your move, you will know how to manage and navigate them.
The point is not how fast you can achieve your goals. It is how you CAN achieve them!
Writing it Down
Once you have a plan, make sure you write it down. There’s a reason we have a pen and paper.
If you don’t fancy the traditional way, then, your mobile phone is your next best notebook!
Moreover, it defeats the purpose for you to plan out your resolutions but forget to pen it down. Or worst, NOT writing it down at all.
Writing down your plans make you remember and boost your memory. You may monitor and keep track of your daily, weekly and monthly progression. This will increase your motivational level as you’ll feel great knowing how far have you accomplished your goals.
Apart from that, you may pinpoint what is obstructing you, and find ways to improve further.
By year-end, you may compare your achievements.
Motivate Yourself With Positivity
Having a positive mindset is an added advantage. Staying positive will lead you to be a better person as it motivates you to improve further.
Like it or not, there are times we feel demotivated, stressed out, being lazy and procrastinate. If you are stuck with something, clear your thoughts before you start again. It’s difficult to layout your plans if your mind is clouded.
Try doing something you like such as watching cartoons, reading your favourite book, go for a coffee break, a walk etc. If not, try having some ME time. 20 minutes of peace and quiet will do wonders to you.
Break down your goals into smaller segments so it’s easier for you to follow through. Try achieving your resolutions without being stressed out.
Daily Reminder
Remember that you need to write down your goals? Every step you have taken, every accomplishment you have achieved, act as a reminder to you.
This will be your greatest inspiration! These accomplished goals will inspire you to complete and reach your next resolutions. If things don’t go as planned, take it as an experience and try again.
Enjoying Your Moments
Regardless of how your journey is while achieving your resolutions, it’s important that you enjoy every moment of it. Experiencing these moments during your journey give you a better sense of appreciation for your goals.
Whether the journey is difficult or smooth, learn along the way and make every experience counts.
Don’t worry if you could not achieve your goals. Just remember to take minor steps. Give it a try again. Who knows, you’ll achieve it faster on the next round!
Stay Firm, Dedicated and Discipline
While trying to conquer your resolutions, you will face many challenges along the way. You have a strong urge to give up. However, stay strong, be firm and discipline to complete it. Never give up too easily.
This is where many people fail as they tend to give up too early along their way. Stay focus and fight until the end!
Feel the excitement when you have achieved your year’s first resolution. After succeeding, to achieve the next few ones will be easier. Soon, you’ll be motivated to challenge yourself further.
The drawback is always ourselves. We are always afraid to take a risk, fear of the unknown, not willing to accept change and more.
Before we could start our journey, we tend to give up and think that we will never achieve it.
So, stay positive and be firm! Another resolution to drive you for the New Year.
